RREE’s cafe Balmain

Food quality is very good and the coffee was great. However, the "Salmon Stack" meal (or something similar) is quite overpriced for what you get. $28 for a few strips of salmon, two undercooked hash browns and a bit of fennel seemed excessive. The other dish we ordered "Salmon breaky" on the other hand omits the hash browns and fennel but includes an egg, fresh soursough bread and a generous serving of avocado for $2 less, which although still quite dear, is somewhat of a better value.

I've travelled in Sydney for few weeks, I can say here's the best cafe for coffee and brunch so far.

When executive Chef - Say Thongchai - and his barista wife - Rree - who are foodies with love of food, then to open this friendly cafe - you will find great dishes of fine cafe cuisine which how they love to eat at RREE’s. + Today I had their hash potato with 5 mushroom + poached egg and extra scramble egg - it a wow-wow-wow!!!!! + Their house bake muffin is fantastic out of the oven. + Special chocolate cookie is as great as you can imagine. + The coffee……Rhee knows how to make coffee. Her experience over years brings her cup of coffee so unique and unforgettable. + to die for Cheese Scone Blueberry muffin: limited per day Reuben It worth of flying over across Tasman sea from Auckland to taste this great cafe. Love their matcha - Matcha Yusu, Matcha Latte - using specific import drinking grade matcha from Japan. Highly recommended for matcha lover.

Unsuspectingly amazing food. The avo toast was fresh and the salmon was cured in house! No unpleasant fishy aftertaste, the dish was so well balanced and fresh. My sister highly enjoyed the hash and mushroom meal, the potato hash was fluffy, the mushrooms flavourful and the poached egg was perfectly cooked. Incredible coffee too! The highlight of our meal was definitely talking with Sherree who the cafe is named after, such a joyful soul and beautiful customer service. We will definitely be back xoxo

The cafe is everything homemade. All the food we’re ordering so delicious. Hidden Gem in Balmain. We love the soufflé and orange cake that’s high recommended. We will be back again.

Had the chicken Caesar – the chicken breast was super tender and the portion was huge. Finished the whole plate Loved it! And the coffee? So good. A must-try!
